Location/ Dates: The event took place in Nesvady (Slovakia), from 10/09/2021 to 12/09/2021. Short description: On September 10, 2021, at the beginning of the event the individual partners introduced themselves in their native language, thus eliminating the communication barrier that may have occurred between them. Activities focused on volunteering, the environment, history, the future and democracy followed. In addition to the mentioned activities, the participants played the game "Knowledge Millionaire", in which they answered questions about the EU. The winner, who answered the most questions in the knowledge competition correctly, won a book on the EU. The introductory evening activity enabled the presentation of countries, which can be observed from a historical and contemporary point of view, as well as the connection between countries, their history, languages and cultures. On September 11, 2021 we started with exercises. Through the exercises, the participants gained energy for other activities. Later, a presentation was made on the underestimated and little-discussed topic "Solidarity in times of crisis and the current migration phenomenon". The gastronomic art was demonstrated by each partner of the event in an organized competition, and we then continued with presentations on European topics - discrimination, the benefits of joining the EU. Activity Euselfie was chosen to stimulate the interest of the younger generation. We ended the second day with a theatrical performance of Csemadok. The last day, September 12, 2021, we started with a solemn mass. We discussed civil society, because a high proportion of citizens' participation in the administration of public affairs is considered to be part of a functioning civil society, precisely through non-political structures. Multicultural education of adolescents was oriented towards racial, ethnic and religious tolerance, cultural pluralism, social belonging, cooperation, perception of otherness as a challenge to know, understand and overcome prejudices. A visit to the House of Folk Traditions brought history from the period 1920 - 1930. Ymca is one of the oldest and most widespread non-profit youth organizations. It strives for the harmonious development of man, his spirit, soul and body through communities and programs that are open to all young people. The European-themed activity brought closer the need for young people to participate in public affairs. The know-how on the implementation of European projects was exchanged by representatives of the participating municipalities. |
